ITALIAN ASSOCIATION OF NEUROEPIDEMIOLOGY

Welcome!

The Italian Association of Neuroepidemiology (NEP) originated from the Special Section of Neuroepidemiology of the SIN (Italian Society of Neurology), established in 1982. The NEP Statutes, registered in May 1999, define the Association's objectives as follows:

• To promote and support the advancement of epidemiological knowledge in the field of neurological diseases, aiming for the prevention of such conditions through a deeper understanding of their etiopathogenesis and natural history. This includes evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness of healthcare facilities and therapeutic or rehabilitative interventions, as well as planning the organization of neurological services;

• To promote the dissemination of epidemiological science and methodology;

• To facilitate networking and coordination among those engaged in neuroepidemiological research, both in Italy and abroad;

• To promote and foster collaboration with the structures of the National Health Service, as well as with institutions, companies, and organizations interested in neuroepidemiology.
